So I realize that I have had zero blog posts lately due to my no-room left in my photo memory on blogspot, however I have something exciting to share!
A couple of months ago I did a commercial photo shoot (photo sample post) for Specialty Textile Services here in Phoenix as they had been going through a re-brand along with the production of an entirely website. As successful as they have been over the years, it was now time to create a new and inviting look for themselves showing off their sustainably features, large scale equipment, facility, and most importantly the company culture. Keane Creative invited me as the photographer for this project. It was a great experience with successful results and portfolio pieces! You will find many of the photos I did throughout the new website. Let me know what you think!
Oh and by the way, I will soon be updating my portfolio site, so stay tuned!

DARN IT!!
So apparently this is where my blog will come to a stand still for a bit of time as I am unable to post anymore images due to space shortage. Now it is my option to either continue using this and pay...hmmmm or just freaking build my website! How lazy am I! No, I wouldn't say lazy, just engulfed with a full time job, with the Phoenix Suns. The ride has been amazing so far, hectic, stressful, busy, exciting, and rewarding. Looking forward to the season! Go Suns.
I will keep you updated via twitter on what is happening with being able to view my recent work. Until then, Happy Halloween!

Surprise Parties
A friend of mine came to me with quite a demanding request. I haven't known her for that long, but let me tell you she was destined to received my creative and professional design help. It's her mother's 50th birthday and she wanted a special, fun, and elegant invitation to send out to friends and family for a martini evening celebration. Here we have it!
Revisiting a Beautiful Weekend...
So as I blogged about my friend Julia's wedding last month, I would like to revisit this amazing weekend as her photographer Nicolette Clark has finally shared all 775 of her photos from the occasion! I definitely went through every single one and yes, I teared up a bit. She such a great job and really captured the happiness Julia and Rico share together now as husband and wife. I want to share some of my favorite photos that she did in addition to my design work! Seeing my work professionally photographed feels amazing! Take a look...

FORWARD: PHXDW 2010
This past week was the second annual Phoenix Design Week with an intriguing theme, FORWARD. From the ideas to the collateral surrounding the theme to each individual exhibit, speaker, and lecture it was a complete success. Exhibits at Sitewire, Air Marketing, Co+Hoots, and Levine Machine were great with the getting the chance to check out each space, the artwork installed as well as mingle with other designers.
Wishing I would have been more involved like I was last year with this event, I feel as if I am just gathering tools, knowledge, and experiences to further my leadership responsibilities in the design community here in town. However, as an AIGA board member for the Phoenix chapter I did have the pleasure of introducing two speakers Eric Torres of Specimen & Shad Hardy. Then of course I got to listen to Von Glitschka, Paul Sahre, and James Victore. Talk about a stellar speaker lineup.
There were many eye opening occurrences both for myself as far as my career in addition to the community I live in both involving the design side and the entire Phoenix community. Inspiration was flowing from Wednesday until Sunday last week, and despite my tiredness from additional events throughout the week and weekend, I made myself attend as much of the week as possible, otherwise I would have regretted it if I let my tired body take over.
Check out some of what you may have missed...and if you did, I suggest you you make it to upcoming events. Visit the AIGA AZ site to find out what is coming up.

Lish + Josh
Hooray more engagement photos! Congrats to my college roomie, Lish and her fiance Josh on their recent engagement! When I received the text from Lish I was in New York City visiting my sister. I screamed at the top of my lungs and almost burst into tears! Such exciting news!
Over the past weekend I was in LA for my college Alumni weekend and not only did I try to get my swim muscles back into gear, but I had the privilege of doing some fabulous photos for the newly engaged couple!

Wedding Design into the World...
So this entire year almost I have been creating. Well, back up. I have been creating and taking on numerous projects, one of which was all wedding design for my dear friend Julia. She just got married over Labor Day weekend at a GORGEOUS winery in Northern California. Not only did I get to do all of the design for her fabulous wedding, I was one of her bridesmaids. I can not begin to express what an honor it was. Congrats to Julia & Rico!
Now back to this wedding design madness. Julia only had one request, an oak tree motif. Sure enough I followed her wishes, as done for every beautiful bride. From there I designed a Save the Date magnet (the magnet was her idea), her perfect little invitations, and everything else from the name cards to the ceremony programs to the bar and buffet menus to the wine bottle labels and any other sign you saw around the reception patio.
I worked on this entire project from the beginning of the year all the way up to the day of. It was a lot of work, but I wouldn't have missed helping out for the world! Not only did I have the pleasure of doing all of this work, but it has appeared on Julia & Rico's wedding photographer's blog! Nicolette Clark did the engagement photo shoot as well as the wedding photos. What a talented woman! I featured her earlier in the year for the Save the Dates as I used four of her photos. Thanks Nicolette for all of your great work! Everyone is dying to see the wedding photos!
Here are a few items...fan ceremony programs, bar menu WITH Julia's special and delicious creation of the Pomegranate Sparkler (wow I spelled that correctly on the first try), and wine bottle labels! Enjoy.

Big Guns Out....
I did a photography shoot last week. Pretty awesome I must say. You wouldn't think this company would have anything interesting to tell someone about, but trust me, I learned more about the commercial laundry business than one would think there would be to know. Shooting all kinds of large scale equipment, and seeing what it takes, I know now how those high end restaurants and hotels get their linens done. Thanks to STS. Oh and my dear friends at Keane Creative are doing an awesome website revamp using my photography! I am pretty stoked. Here are some photos that I thought were pretty awesome...
Now the linens are put to use! Table cloths, napkins, aprons. Clean and ready for all kinds of customers, chefs, and servers.
