Where has the time gone...

A week has already gone by since my last post. How dreadful! I guess we can blame it on the new job that I have had for a little over a week. I am a Business Development Assistant, Company Purchaser, Accountant, IT Woman, and the list continues for FMQ Development. I have "many hats" as my boss puts it. Unfortunately I won't be doing any graphic design work at this job, but I'm still going strong with freelance! I will continue to take on projects and work my little booty off to make sure I continue to practice and develop my skills and talents. So here I am on lunch break, collecting my thoughts and making an attempt to update my blog. Saturday I will be shooting a wedding...can't wait! It's been a while. With that being said...thanks for viewing my blog and keep your eyes peeled for some new photos!

Happy Tuesday!

A View from A Mountain

Last night I took a little trip up A Mountain to see if I could get some cool night shots. I definitely should have just sucked it up and taken my tripod up there, but oh well...guess I'll just have to go again!

On top of Structure 5.

On top of A Mountain.
Squaw Peak and Camelback Mountain!

A certain someone had a fabulous idea of using the stone pillar as a makeshift tripod. Awesome.

My favorite part of a city is the night lighting. Keep a look out for more of this photog! Might be my favorite right now...reflections, lighting, colors, the experience. Love it. Chicago will be a fun city to shoot in. There will be quit a post on that next month!

Oh and big news of the day...JOB OFFER!

Google is my Fave

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh Google, how you are truly loved by all. My favorite part of this search engine is how festive this logo can get during the holidays.

Don't forget to wear your green and have an Irish Car Bomb, or two, or three.

Sprinkles Cupcakes!

Today I took my first trip to Sprinkles. Talk about branding. It's pretty amazing. Love it all from the presentation of the shop to the fun dot on the "i" which right now is a clover, how appropriate! Who would have thought cupcakes would be the dessert. Forget ice cream!

Since it is almost St. Patrick's Day they had two special flavors which I was very much wanting to experience, Irish Chocolate and Green Velvet! Pretty tasty, I must admit.

Hopefully this has convinced you to take a little trip over to Scottsdale Road and Camelback to experience it for yourself.

3.14

PI Day! I always remember the days of elementary school math. When March 14th rolls around, there are pizza pies, cherry pies, all kinds of pies in celebration of PI which equals 3.14159265. And there you have it. Happy PI Day!

Not only is 3.14 PI Day, it is also my Father's birthday! Quite the celebration we had...giant hamburgers and a delicious fruit tart! Happy Birthday Dad!

So tastey!

Wedding Weekend in Phoenix

My first friend to get married...I can't believe it! Unfortunately my D80 didn't go with me in fear that something crazy could have happened to it. Regardless, I got some pretty great photos. Here are a few that were my favorite.

The wedding was beautiful. Couldn't imagine anything more amazing. Congrats and love you both!

First dance and cake cutting=my favorite...

Favorite picture of the day.

Mr. and Mrs. Hatch everyone!

May you have a beautiful life. I am so happy to have celebrated your marriage. Enjoy your Jamaican honeymoon!

Excitement! and Green...

There are a lot of things going on in my life within the next couple months. My first friend to get married will have her wedding on Saturday, the Rascal Flatts concert is next week which I won 4 free tickets to, St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, the Lenten season is now which means Easter will soon be here, and then my trip to Chicago in the middle of April! I just today booked my flight. I have never been to Chicago, but soon enough I will be able to say that I had the pleasure of touring the city for an entire week! Two Chicago locals who are my dear friends will most likely show me an incredible time. One of their birthday celebrations will be during that weekend as well. All of us LMU girls will be sure to get a little wild because, well, it's just expected.

In the meantime, I will continue on my job hunt in hopes that things will fall into place. Speaking of jobs, I could soon have a small part time job doing some golf tournament photography. I think that could be a great start in the sporting world! We shall see what ends up working out.

Now for something visual...my photog for the day consists of a green obsession. What can I say, I just love this color! You could say I'm a green freak, but not really in the sense of how the economy uses the word "green". And no, I am not a tree-hugger. And yes money is green, which I do like, but that's not why I obsess over this color. There is just something attractive about the color that turns me on. Bathing suit, mouse pad, headband, flip flops, bracelets, business card holder, scarves, cup, all green! Love it. You can be sure that when I get married this color will very much be involved in the scheme of things.

Speaking of green, I will surely be ready for St. Paddy's Day! Happy Hump Day!

Trial Work Day?

Yes, today I had my trial work day with Indy Car Wash all the way out in east freaking Mesa! Goodness, so far. It was a success and I can say that it was quite a different graphic design experience. Checkered floors and red carpet...sexy!

Only time will tell...

So if you happen to be in east Mesa and need a nice car wash, check it out. It's on Power Road just south of Main Street!

Hope Monday is/was happy!

What to Photograph Today...

Because I have had so much time on my hands lately...I really should get out and shoot more. This week I have a goal to shoot and do an entry each day. Ready go...

By the way, it's March 1st today? Man, this year is flyin'. New month, new day, make the best of it.
